Champion Energy is Still Ahead in the Competition

According to a latest study based on measuring the customers’ satisfaction, Champion Energy has scored the most. The score i.e. 750 out of 1000 points has helped the top retail electric provider (REP) to retain its position. What is customer’s feedback at the results shown by this study and how they take these results will be known through forums and discussion boards. It’s a fact that Texas deregulated market is a big market that offers its residents with power to choose option that was absent before deregulation. A power to choose option increases the competition among retail electric providers and it becomes really hard for the REPs that hold top positions.

According to Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), Champion Energy has a consumer base of 55% as per March 31, 2011 facts sheet. Satisfying unique power needs of such a large user base with good customer care is what can help an electric provider earn a good reputation.

If we approach the Texas deregulated market from a different aspect, we come to know that there is not a single REP that is perfect. The reason is that they are in business and if they don’t keep their margin, the essence for being in business remains nowhere. So, does this justification make the REPs qualified to extract money out of their customers through different plans? The answer is NO, but real question should be asked how to avoid over paying in deregulated Texas? There are residential electricity users that are always complaining for over-paying.

Get maximum information about the electric provider you’re switching to and also about the power plan that you’re going to pay for. Make everything clear before fixing the deal and Champion Energy will be a viable option for you to switch to. Good luck!
